Christian Boros collects and collects.
In 2003, Christian Boros bought a 1942-built air raid bunker in Berlin and started to prepare the conversion of the building for his collection of contemporary art.
Jens Casper from the Berlin-based office Realarchitektur completed the conversion. It took a year of planning and four years of conversion; in addition, the roof space was turned into a penthouse complete with terraces and a roof garden.
Together with the photographs by Noshe, the book Boros Collection/Bunker Berlin published by Hatje Canz documents all the pieces in this exhibition.
