Dialog with Paulette Pascarella

Having a design practice in New York City brings about very active days and evenings, with shoppes to visit and events to attend.

My time of realignment after a busy week, is Sunday, elevated by music, food, and spirit.

James Andrew, a Parish-Hadley alumus Interior Designer, is able to sustain this practice in everyday life. As a devotee of the Law of Abundance doctrine, James holds an awareness, which is refreshing, and one all of us can work towards.  In a much-grounded way, James speaks about manifesting desires and creating your own destiny. Hard work and kismet have been actualized for James, in his thriving design practice and title of Style Arbiter. In July of 2008, he produced a sartorial inspired blog, What is James Wearing, featuring James in swank, fashionable locations throughout the world.  

Several Sundays ago, James’ home was featured on NBC LXTV Designer Living: Inside a Design and Style Blogger’s Home.

New York Social Diary had this dialog with James.

If you get tapped on the shoulder in New York City,

you want to turn around and find Scott Schuman with his camera, requesting to photograph you.  

Most of my readers know of Scott Schuman’s 5 year old, daily, hit it out of the park blog; 

The Sartorialist.  

This tapped from the streets, style and fashion photo blog was named in 2007 

Time Magazine’s Design 100, as a major design influencer.

What peripatetic cameraman would not want that tag. 

He chooses to photograph young and older, high fashion to industry worker chic.

Color in the house, The House of Brinson.

I always try to encourage clients to go to the natural world,

see and select,

before going to the paint fan deck,

heck, just go to the farmer’s market or the kitchen.

As my followers now know, the House of Dialog grooves to a different tune on Sundays. 

Traversing the web, I discovered another house with a spot on tune;

New York based husband and wife team, William and Susan Brinson.

From an industrial chic NYC loft, William, a still life and food photographer, and Susan, a creative director,

share stories and beautiful photographs about food finds, while promoting the style of natural luxury,

through The House of Brinson.

Williams’ Grandma Brinson would approve and most certainly Stay A While.

Michael Mundy’s editorial clients include Vogue, W., Wallpaper, and he has shot portraits of  luminaires like
