Summer hissed when I first met D. Bryant Archie.
She shared with me an evening at a summertime concert, under the stars with her family, and I knew we were Simpatico.
Returning from her honeymoon in Morocco with more than just a handsome husband,
an idea was hatched.
The result of that inspiration are these gorgeous 100% Baby Alpaca blankets, pillows and the company,
Like the Navajo’s, D. Bryant Archie has birthed a collection of gems, transcended with a modern palette and clean lines,
inspired by nature, culture and fashion, handwoven in Peru, with textures which speak livability.
In the spirit of giving, she says,
“The weaving of our textiles helps support the livelihoods and hand-looming traditions of artisans in a rural region of Peru.
We work with partners who support their education and the education of their children.
Furthermore, the process from sorting the fiber by hand to dying, weaving and cleaning of the final piece is kind to the environment. “
Now that radiators are hissing, I am ready to bundle up in a blanket and watch the stars overhead.
