Inside The Pop!
Thursday, November 11th, 2010
Catching an artist at work was the opportunity of photographer Laurie Lambrecht.
Lambrecht spent two years as a part-time assistant to Pop artist Roy Lichtenstein,
and was encouraged by him, to document his work process.
In this series of photographs, we get to see the interior of an inner world.
Read more about Lambrecht and Lichtenstein here.
To see Laurie’s photographs first hand, she is having two shows:
From the Studio of Roy Lichtenstein at the Griffin Museum of Photography, November 18, 2010 – January 23, 2011.
and In Roy Licthenstein’s Studio at Victoria Munroe Fine Art, November 4th, 2010 – December 4th, 2010.
(This just in! According to the New York Times, “Ohhh … Alright,” a 1964 painting by Roy Lichtenstein, sold for a record $42.6 million at the Christie’s postwar and contemporary art sale in New York on Wednesday. See more here.)
